2. About these terms and conditions

2.1 These terms and conditions apply to all orders and deliveries. Any order placed on the website implies acceptance of the terms and conditions of sale.

2.2 To place an order, you must be at least 18 years old. If you are not 18, we ask that your parents or legal guardian place the order. If we notice that an order has been placed by a minor, we can refuse this order.

2.3 Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

3. Placing an order

3.1 You can place an order by completing the order form on and sending this order.

3.2 The moment you have placed an order, you will receive an order number.

3.3 By placing an order, you undertake to buy products according to the conditions stated by us.

3.4 If we accept your order, we will notify you by sending you an order confirmation. We will send you this order confirmation by email. The order confirmation is binding from the moment it is sent. If we cannot accept your order, we will try to contact you by email or telephone.

3.5 We cannot be held liable for damage resulting from a product not being in stock.

3.6 In the event of late payment by the customer or in the event of problems with previous orders, Mambo Baskets is authorized to dissolve the agreement.

3.7 All our products are handmade in remote villages in Africa. The products consist of natural materials and no two baskets are alike. We work with suppliers who care about good quality, but nevertheless natural stains or irregularities may occur in some places. These are not errors, but proof that the baskets are handmade and make the products unique.


4.1 The prices stated on the website are in euros, including VAT and excluding shipping costs, unless otherwise specified.

4.2 Prices quoted are valid at the time of publication, after which they may be subject to change.

5.Payment method

5.1 Payment can only be made via the payment modules as they appear on the website.

5.2 All items remain our exclusive property until they have been paid for in full.

6. Right of withdrawal

6.1 In accordance with the law of 30 December 2013 on Book VI of the Code of Economic Law "market practices and consumer protection", the consumer has the right, within 14 calendar days of receipt of the product, to inform SMA invest bvba in writing that he whether she wants to renounce his/her purchase.

6.2 The returned product must be returned in its original packaging, in perfect condition. Any return whose sender cannot be identified will be refused.

6.3 The direct costs (such as shipping costs) are for the account and responsibility of the consumer.

6.4 SMA invest bvba recommends using a courier when returning products in order to be able to track the package. SMA invest bvba cannot be held responsible for the refund of goods that are lost, stolen or damaged.

6.5 The refund will be made within 30 days after receipt and acceptance of the return by SMA invest bvba, provided that all conditions as described above are strictly met. The amount that is refunded will in any case never exceed the amount actually paid by the consumer.


7.1 We will deliver your products to the delivery address specified in your order. SMA invest bvba cannot be held responsible in any way for errors committed by the customer when entering the delivery and/or billing address and which may lead to delays in delivery or the impossibility of delivering the ordered products.

7.2 Title to and risk of loss in your products will pass to you when the products are delivered.

7.3 When an item is in stock, it will be delivered to your delivery address in 1 to 5 working days. These delivery times are indicative and therefore no rights can be derived from them.

7.4 Orders are shipped between Monday and Friday, legal holidays excluded.

7.5 If a product is not in stock, the consumer will be informed by e-mail about a later delivery date. If the consumer does not agree with the delay, the ordered product can be canceled or the customer can order an alternative product. The canceled product will be refunded or, if an alternative product is ordered, the overpaid/underpaid amount will be refunded/additionally invoiced.

7.6 If we cannot deliver on time, we will always notify you before the expected delivery period has expired. If we do not do this, you can cancel your order free of charge. In that case we will refund you within 30 days after dissolution.

7.7 We cannot be held responsible for any consequential damage due to late delivery or non-delivery by the carrier appointed by SMA invest bvba.

8. Warranty Statement

8.1 Without prejudice to the right of withdrawal, the consumer enjoys all legal guarantees associated with the products sold on our website.

8.2 SMA invest bvba guarantees that the products are in conformity with the order and meet the normal expectations that the consumer may have of them, taking into account the specifications of the product.

8.3 We are not liable for technical or other data provided by suppliers or manufacturers.

8.4 The consumer will be able to have the products refunded if, subject to conclusive proof, they are deemed not to be in conformity or if they show a hidden defect. Complaints are submitted by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to SMA invest bvba at the address: Eglantierlaan 41, 2020 Antwerp.

9. Force majeure

9.1. In case of force majeure, we are not obliged to fulfill our obligations. In that case, we can either suspend our obligations for the duration of the force majeure, or dissolve the agreement definitively. We are therefore not responsible.

9.2. Force majeure is any circumstance beyond our will and control that prevents the fulfillment of our obligations in whole or in part. By this we understand, among other things, strikes, fire, business failures, power failures, failures in a (telecommunication) network or connection or used communication systems and / or the unavailability of our website at any time, non-delivery or late delivery of suppliers or other engaged third parties, ...

10. Intellectual Property

10.1. Our website, logos, texts, photos, names and in general all our communication are protected by intellectual property rights that are either owned by us or by our suppliers or other entitled parties.

10.2. It is prohibited to use and/or make changes to the intellectual property rights as described in this article. For example, you may not copy or reproduce drawings, photos, names, texts, logos, color combinations, etc. without our prior and express written permission.

11. Complaints procedure

11.1 If you have any complaints about our services, you can contact us via We do everything we can to handle your complaint within 7 working days.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction Concerning Disputes

12.1 We will try to resolve any disputes quickly and efficiently. If you are not satisfied with the way in which we handle a dispute and want to start legal proceedings, you must do so with the competent court in Belgium.

12.2 Belgian law applies to the agreement.
